The effect of open line on sand casting


With the continuous increase of labor costs and the continuous upgrading of casting equipment automation, the labor required for a complete sand casting production line is gradually reduced. 1、The equipment composition and function of the open line
1.1 The transport trolley, the quantity is in the form of N+1, is mainly used for the transportation of sand tires.
1.2 The ground rail line is divided into horizontal layout and circular layout. The design is mainly based on the characteristics of the casting product and the size of the workshop, and the reasonable layout should carry as many transport vehicles as possible to improve the utilization rate.
1.3 The conversion trolley is mainly to transfer the transport trolley on the ground rail line for horizontal rail change transportation. It adopts PLC control and can be adjusted according to the molding speed.
1.4 The manipulator is used to press the sand box before casting and remove the sand box after casting.
1.5 If the casting machine adopts automatic casting, the running track of the casting machine will be designed according to the layout of the ground rail line, so that the pouring amount of raw materials can be controlled, and the risk factor of manual pouring will be reduced.
1.6 Dust removal hood, located above the side of the casting area, will generate a lot of smoke and dust during the pouring process, especially the self-setting sand or resin coated sand production line. The resin will generate a lot of smoke and dust and pungent odor under the action of high temperature. The hood can quickly remove the gas and smoke and improve the working environment of the foundry shop.
1.7 The box turning machine, located at the end of the open line, turns the cooled sand tires onto the sand shaker for casting sand separation.
1.8 The cooling belt is located under the sand shaker. The raw material of the belt is high temperature resistant rubber. In most cases, part of the belt is in the pit to transport the hot old sand to the sand recovery system.
1.9 The slab conveyor, undertaking the sand shaker, the castings after the separation of the casting sand, and transporting the castings to the Maoyong area.

2、The layout of the open line is mainly divided into open layout and circular molding line
2.1 The open molding line adopts an open layout, and the walking mold conveyor transfers the casting layout compactly, which saves the workshop area. The open molding line adopts PLC to control the running cycle, and the servo motor realizes the power output of the transition car. According to the instructions, the sand mold is transferred between the molding section and each cooling section. The open moulding line can realize the requirements of static core setting, box closing, pouring and different cooling time.
The open mechanized molding line is suitable for the production of complex, multi-core, and long cooling time castings. It occupies a small area and the conveyor is generally arranged in line. According to the gradual cooling time can be juxtaposed more than one. The two ends are connected by a trolley. The movement of the sand box is mostly pulse type, and the conveying of the conveyor is mostly hydraulically driven, and it is also driven by a servo motor or a frequency converter.
2.2 Ring molding lines are generally used for the production of less complicated parts, and occupy a large area. Automatic production lines rarely use ring conveyors and are divided into continuous and pulse types. The continuous type runs continuously at the set speed. The pulse type is an open-stop-open operation mode. The structure and control of the loop line are simple, but when it is inconvenient to organize the production of pouring small boxes, the suspended cranes (or automatic pouring equipment) are used for simultaneous pouring. The cast molds after pouring are transported to the series connection via the steering conveyor and the motorized chain conveyor. In the initial cooling section, the heat is exhausted by a strong exhauster, which can effectively improve the working environment of the foundry workshop.
The molds in the primary cooling section can be transported to any of the cooling storage lines as required. The fully cooled molds on the cooling line can be transported to the large and small box machine stations for boxing and sand falling. Each cooling line can be started and stopped individually, and can be started manually or automatically controlled as required. The small box poke machine uses two sets of sand boxes on each car surface to be lifted and moved at the same time, and the boxes are shaken out at the same time. It breaks through the traditional technology of small box single box push. The big box poke box is to lift and move 1 sand box each time and poke the box. The casting mold after the box is sent to the vibration shakeout machine by a vibrating conveyor, and the casting and old sand can be separated and transported in only 1 minute. The old sand is transported into the sand processing department through the Y33 series belt conveyor. The empty sand box of the big box is returned to the original car surface and conveyed to the box puller station by the conveyor line. The box puller pulls the empty sand box to the inclined free raceway and turns through the tapered raceway. The height difference is connected to the box, and it is transported and stored to the big box molding raceway. After poking the box, the empty box returns to the original surface of the car and moves forward a few steps.

3、The open line is a more complicated area in the sand casting process, and it is also the area with the largest number of workers.
